Hosted by Adam Collet from School of Wine, this special evening celebrates the producers that have defined Australian Shiraz on the world stage. Across six exceptional wines, guests will explore the power, depth and pedigree of iconic labels including Torbreck, Henschke and Penfolds, each thoughtfully paired with a three-course menu.
As Adam puts it - "People wax lyrically about balance and nuance, however I've always loved big full-bodied wines. And there is no better region in the world for that than South Australia. Warm climate, old vines and judicious use of oak make for powerful and intense wine."
Expect modern classics from Torbreck, crafted from ancient Shiraz vines with a touch of Viognier. Discover the enduring elegance of Henschke's Mt Edelstone and the legendary Hill of Grace. Then finish with Penfolds' benchmark expressions, including RWT and the iconic Grange.
These are wines rarely poured by the glass and even more rarely enjoyed side by side. A remarkable opportunity to experience some of Australia's greatest bottles in one sitting.
The reign of terroir is over! Long live the Big Barossa Shiraz!
